Early Childhood Educator Job in Calgary, Alberta

We are looking for an energetic individual who loves kids to help cover staff holidays! This is perfect if you are off for the summer from your job with early intervention, preschool or from school! Position is fulltime for August and could carry on to part time or casual care in September if that's what you are looking for. Expanding Imaginations Child Care is an inclusive family-owned child care program that puts staff, children and families first. This position offers the opportunity to work with multiple age groups and with a variety of personalities and abilities. Requirements: Must be 18 years old or older Fluent in speaking, reading, writing in English Clear Criminal Record / Vulnerable Sector Search less than 6 months old Must love working with kids Have an attitude ready to learn Ability to see what needs to be done and do it. Duties: Support the regular staff in planning activities Awareness of the program policies and procedures and following them Play with the children Use gentle discipline such as redirection and reminders. We do not use time outs Assist with diapering / toileting and daily care of the children Knowing which children have allergies or health conditions and ensuring their safety and well being.
