Expanding Imaginations Child Care is hiring for the following positions: A summer Early Childhood Educator to cover staff holidays On-call Early Childhood Educators to fill in for ongoing staff absences (We can offer shifts around your other job or school schedule) We offer permanent fulltime positions to staff who are working on a contract or casual basis before hiring from outside the organization whenever possible. Qualifications Required: Diploma or enrolled in a diploma program for Early Learning and Child Care First Aid certification Clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Search High energy and organized Enjoys facilitating learning experiences for children Comfortable using technology for documentation and communication Fluent reading, speaking and writing in English Class 4Drivers License is an asset Certified as a Child Development Worker or Supervisor Employment Expectations: Working with the Primary Educators to engage children in meaningful activities to support their individual strengths and needs Ensure all areas of development are targeted in the environment Familiarity with Alberta Child Care Licensing, Accreditation, and Health regulations Utilize HiMama and Storypark to document development and communicate with families Document children's behaviour and hold meetings with families as necessary Participate in gentle discipline, helping children learn appropriate ways to express emotions and communicate. Build working relationships with outside professionals to best support children Attend staff meetings and team building opportunities regularly Attend a minimum of 8 hours of Professional Development each year of employment Participate in the day to day cleanliness of the room Compensation: Hourly wage based on education level Potential to move into a permanent fulltime position when one comes available Please apply by emailing your resume, we will call suitable applicants for an interview.
