Early Childhood Educator Job in Calgary, Alberta

To provide high quality care and learning to children ages 5-12 before and after school. They will be responsible for setting up an age appropriate learning environment as a third teacher that is reflective of the children in their care and their relationships with the educators. They will ensure that they support responsive relationships with the children by focusing on children as mighty learners who are capable individuals and citizens while be co-learners, co-researchers, and co-imaginers of possibilities. They will ensure that they notice, name, and nurture children's dispositions to learn by observing, documenting and providing provocations and possibilties that are thought provoking, open ended and encourage children to explore. They will ensure that they collaborate with team members and parents on findings to gain a different perspective and to support places of vitality. The ECE I, II and III's must possess current first aid/CPR and a criminal record check with a vulnerable sector search. This position pays 4 hours of collaboration and planning time weekly. ECE's are responsible for Pedagogical documentation weekly. Qualifications: ECE I, II and III
