I have completed a total of six placements with young children in all age groups. I recently completed a placement with York Region Early Intervention Services where I worked to meet the needs of the children and their families by designing activity plans, completing assessments and maintaining objective notes.

Since I graduated in 1996, I have been working with children with the YMCA and the school boards. I have had many opportunities to work with special needs.

I have worked with various age group of children throughout my placement in college. I was able to prepare activities and curriculums based each individual child developmental needs and interests. Throughout high-school I was able to volunteer in the special needs classroom. I got to help meet each child needs and teach them in an educated but fun way.

I was babysitting for two families, one with three boys (10 months, 5, 7) and one with three girls (2, 4, 7) for a year. I am a very dependable, trustworthy, patient and caring person. I get great satisfaction out of helping others. I like to think of myself as not only a senior caregiver, but also an senior companion.
