Early Childhood Educator Job in Toronto, Ontario

At Playworks Preschool, we are seeking an experienced RECE that is dedicated to providing high quality child care. We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive teacher, that wants to actively participate in the growth/expansion of the centre. The role of the Child Care Teacher is to foster and facilitate the academic and social development of the children. The teacher will provide a safe and developmentally appropriate program for all children in accordance with all relevant policies. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and implement a complete program of activities - following How Does Learning Happen? And ELECT Provide quality care and care-giving activities Use a variety of activities and methods to motivate and stimulate children’s abilities Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide all necessary information Assess/analyze children’s performance and progress, ensuring they are on the correct developmental path (course correct when required) Comply with all teaching standards and safety regulations Maintain a safe and healthy environment
