At Playworks Pre-school, We are seeking a RECE, with the motivation and dedication to provide quality child care. The role of the Child Care Teacher is to foster and facilitate the academic and social development of the children. The teacher will provide a safe and developmentally appropriate program for all children in accordance with all relevant policies. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and implement a complete program of activities Provide quality care and care-giving activities that follow ELECT Use a variety of activities and methods to motivate and stimulate children’s abilities Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide all necessary information Assess/analyze children’s performance and progress, ensuring they are on the correct developmental path (course correct when required) Comply with all teaching standards and safety regulations Maintain a safe and healthy environment QUALIFICATION: Diploma in Early Childhood Education Proven working experience as a childcare teacher Montessori Experience is an asset Excellent knowledge of child development and latest education theories and practices Creative and artistic teaching abilities Organizational skills Patience and adaptability Strong communication, stress and time management skills Certified in First Aid and CPR WE OFFER: Competitive hourly rate Monday to Friday operating hours Opportunity for growth and advancement Salary to be negotiated and based on experience.
