Wesley Christian Academy and Early Learning Centre We are now recruiting RECE and assistants for positions for our After School Programs for 2021-202... and runners to help with dismal of children. We are a large Christian School and childcare centre with over 25 years of providing exceptional care and education to children from toddlers through to grade 8. - Positions to start in September 2021 - Hours approximately 3:00pm to 6:00pm - Additional hours may be available in helping to cover staff breaks and supply when staff are away. QUALIFICATIONS: - RECE -Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators in good standing. - Excellent communication both written and verbally. - Strong organizational skills, self-control, and sound judgment. - Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C. - Current clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Scan. - Updated immunization report including a 2-step TB test and required immunizations. - Under new Covid policy staffs are required to show proof of double vaccination - Plan to Protect Abuse Prevention Training is an asset. - must have the ability or lift children up to 30lb from floor to waist height. Be able to get down to children’s level and maintain eye contact. You must be able to sit on the floor Responsibilities: - Planning and implementing a quality program for children 4 to 12 years old - Ensuing the supervision and safety of the children with in the program. - Developing children’s curiosity and planning activities based on their interests - Creating positive relationships with co-worker families and children. - Ability to interact with children in a positive manner and discuss daily events with families while supporting our Christian philosophy - Flexible; adapts easily to change No calls accepted.
