Early Childhood Educator Job in Toronto, Ontario

We are seeking an RECE to join our team of Early Childhood professionals. The position available is in our Kindergarten Before and Aftercare Program. This is a full-time position of 6 hours a day with a possibility for increased hours. Withrow Childcare Centre is a school-based program that is committed to providing quality care to families in the Riverdale community. Qualifications: Experience working with children aged 4 through 8 years of age Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to children, families, staff and centre personnel Good knowledge and understanding of the CCEYA and Quality Assurance Strong programming following children's needs, incorporating active learning, excepts from ELECT, How Does Learning Happen?, and an anti-bias approach to programming Current member in good standing with the College of ECE Holds current Standard First Aid and CPR level C certification Current Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check Up to date immunization Responsibilities include: Ensuring that all legislation requirements are followed. Planning and implementation of children's developmentally appropriate programming Ability to work as an effective team member, fostering a child-centered, family-friendly atmosphere Ability to work with external agencies Managing facilities and ensuring a safe and healthy environment Able to follow through with policies and procedures.
