Early Childhood Educator Job in Toronto, Ontario

After 19 years with us, our "cook" is retiring! So we are searching for someone new to join us. The successful candidate will need the following: Patience, Flexibility, Attention to detail all with a smile and gentle greeting as the children look forward to popping in and saying hi to you daily ? What will be required of you: Our food prep person works approximately 7.5 hrs a day. A valid police check ( we give you the form), a food handlers certificate (takes a day to do & we will register you) and up to date immunizations (TB, MMR and a Tetanus that is within the last 10 years) What they do: Prep am snack from groceries our parents provide (cheese, fruit and veg and a carb) Deliver to rooms with appropriate serving utensils, cups, dishes etc • * Receive and distribute catered hot lunch * (We use Food for Tots for catering) Maintain water records and parent binder Maintain and record food, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and serving table temperatures. Ensure food substitutions and allergy children's lunches/snacks are packaged and labeled for separate serving in individual classrooms. Lunchroom coverage Dishes Prep PM snack from groceries our parents provide Prep After school snack from groceries we provide Even more dishes.
