As we embark on a transformational journey in our growth story, we seek to onboard individuals who will lead from the front. We are looking to hire incredibly enthusiastic, child-loving, education-driven leaders to support and guide our amazing children, staff and families as part of our campus leadership teams.
We are currently hiring Center Directors who have previous experience running an early childhood educator center of 100 children or more with a curriculum mindset and an operational focus. We are also open to applicants who are experienced teachers, individuals who are self-driven and motivated, collaborative, willing to learn and grow into a management position.

What you bring to the role:
Professionalism, ambition and a desire to build strong trusting relationships across a diverse team, as well as with families and children
An educational background in early childhood education
A deep understanding of how children learn and develop and how to create a high quality environment
Experience with efficient and effective day-to-day operations at a center

Responsibilities:
Ensuring the center is safe and effective with a caring and nurturing environment in each classroom
Curriculum development - through the oversight of the overall education program, supporting classrooms and facilitating a positive and stimulating environment
Overseeing the hiring and training of new staff members - selecting not just qualified candidates, but also those who fit with the philosophy, values and culture of the program. This includes evaluating candidates, conducting onsite interviews and a working classroom interview as well.
Training - ensuring all staff are fully trained in their responsibilities and the policies of the program as well as keeping staff up to date on the latest research in child development, safety precautions, and developmentally appropriate practices
Conflict resolution - successful mediation of any conflicts that may arise due to the nature of work or the relationships between educators and / or families
Building strong family connections - creating an environment that allows for strong family relationships to develop through open and proactive communication between parents and teachers. Organizing and hosting community events for teachers and families
Mentoring and career growth - understanding the team's career goals and helping them make progress towards them for career satisfaction and longevity.
Qualifications:
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Alberta Childcare Licensing and Accreditation standards
Early Childhood Education diploma or degree from a recognized college or University
Child Development Supervisor (Level 3 required)
Valid first-aid certificate (required)
Current criminal record check including a vulnerable sector check (required)
Ability to lift a min. of 40 lbs. especially when working with infants and toddlers
Reggio/Montessori experience (an asset)
