I have always had a passion to work with children as their simple approach to everyday life inspires me. I have had the privilege to have had experience with children of all ages over the years, however, I am currently enrolled in the ECE program at a local College in Nanaimo, BC to continue my education in child care.

Children attend kindergarten between ages 3–6/7 (they go to school in the year in which they have their 7th birthday). I am a BC certified teacher. I am currently working part time in a French Immersion Childcare Preschool. I have raised 2 children. I have a 5 year old and a 1 year old grandchild. I volunteered in my children's elementary schools for 7 years. I have taken some workshops in ASD. I have a friend with a special needs child.

For 2 years I taught swimming lessons to children of a variety of ages. In addition, I coached a volleyball team and I worked as a cabin leader at a summer camp. In addition, I babysat children for 8 years and I tutored children. I have taught swimming lessons to children with a variety of special needs.

ECE for 26 years, raised children as a single parent and fostered with MCFD for 7 years. As a foster parent all children in care have a special needs. I also adopted my 6 year old daughter whom I had with me since she was 12 hours old.
