I have been babysitting infants since I was twelve years old. I have volunteered at elementary schools and taught at the middle and high school level

I have always had a passion to work with children as their simple approach to everyday life inspires me. I have had the privilege to have had experience with children of all ages over the years, however, I am currently enrolled in the ECE program at a local College in Nanaimo, BC to continue my education in child care.

For 2 years I taught swimming lessons to children of a variety of ages. In addition, I coached a volleyball team and I worked as a cabin leader at a summer camp. In addition, I babysat children for 8 years and I tutored children. I have taught swimming lessons to children with a variety of special needs.

My mother was a gradeschool teacher. I grew up helping her in the classroom. I also babysat as a teenager as well as ran a children\'s portrait studio for 4 years in my early twenties. I have worked as a Nanny and Early Childcare Assistant within Schools, home-based programs and daycares. I have worked as a Special Education Assistant and Child Development Specialist in School\\\\\\\'s and home based programs. I have Disability Studies experience as well as a Child Psychology Diploma.

I volunteered at a birthing centre and helped sanitize the rooms for deliveries. I acted as a doula for my friend when she had her first child in August 2014. I have 2 nephews and 1 niece all under the age of 5 that I enjoy spending time with when I am not away at school. My nephew was just diagnosed with autism. I am still learning how to interact better with him.
