I have been a babysitter for 10 years and have a 2 1/2 year old of my own I have done 2 field placements working with children with special needs, and am very comfortable doing so

Since high school I have been working with kids in various settings. Teaching grade 6-12 Sunday school, and being a leader at the high school youth group. Running day camps for kids ages 5-12. Just recently in my student placements I\'ve worked in both a high school and elementary school. Did my 3rd year placement in an ASD program at a highschool.

I have had 3 placements at 3 different child care centres working with children at the pre-school level as well as an internship working with kindergarten children both jk and SK. I have worked with autistic children in different placements.

I have experience in taking care of children with special needs as wall as other children. In my family we have a child who suffers from very rare neurological condition called Hemimegalencephaly. It was an interesting and varied experience..... required good communication, problem solving and analytical skills. I learned a lot from my experience working with children with special needs. I had to be more nurturing and more patient with them.

I was a lead ECE at two seperate childcare centres. I started supplying at both centres. I assisted teachers and filled in when a teacher was abscent. I don\'t have one on one experience with working with Children with Special Needs, but I have worked in classrooms with a few children with Special Needs.
