I am an experienced teacher of 30 years who recently retired. I am interested in continuing my career with children your alternate education programming. I have worked as Learning Support Teacher as one of my many teaching roles. Always working in an integrated classroom environment I had the privilege of educated many students with Special Needs.

3 teaching practicums over University career (3 week, 6 week, and 8 week). Worked at afterschool care for 2 years as a leader and assistant manager. Worked at summer camps as a leader and program facilitator. Coached youth soccer. Have had students with behavioural designations and worked with a few children who have autism at after school care.

Worked with children ages 0-21 and over in various capacity. I have worked with children in daycare centres, group homes and schools. I have my level 2 certification for Alberta. For the past 6 years I have worked extensively with children with special needs in both group home settings as a Development Service Worker and in a school environment as an Educational Assistant.

I have been a preschool teacher for the past 5 years. And I absolutely love working with children. I did my practicum in a day care working with infants to 5 years old. I have been working with children that have autism, speech impediments as well as children that have down-syndrome.
