Working with children has always been an interest of mine. Be it teaching, playing or sparking their creativity.

I am an experienced teacher of 30 years who recently retired. I am interested in continuing my career with children your alternate education programming. I have worked as Learning Support Teacher as one of my many teaching roles. Always working in an integrated classroom environment I had the privilege of educated many students with Special Needs.

Worked with children ages 0-21 and over in various capacity. I have worked with children in daycare centres, group homes and schools. I have my level 2 certification for Alberta. For the past 6 years I have worked extensively with children with special needs in both group home settings as a Development Service Worker and in a school environment as an Educational Assistant.

I have worked as an ECE assistant and as a Preschool teacher. In addition to the degree that I am doing now at the University of Victoria I have also completed 8 early childhood courses through CONA. I have worked around children with Autism and my son is waiting to be assessed for possible ADD.
