I have had plenty of experience with children. I took care of my 8 year old sister since she was born. I worked at as a camp counsellor in the summer of 2014. I have done babysitting my whole life and I am currently volunteering at Mary Honeywell Elementary school. At the moment I have no experience with special needs children.

During my ECE training I have had a wonderful time interacting with children, assisting the children in their learning/exploration of the world around them, and developing inquiry/play-based plans based on the child's interest. I have had minimal experience with Children with Exceptionalities as an EA was caring for the child.

As a co-op placement in highschool I worked in a first grade classroom preparing work material for the children as well as reading stories and engaging in play sessions. This experience led me to want to pursue a career involving children. I am currently enrolled in Child Studies at Carleton University with hopes to become an elementary school teacher.
