My experience was fun and challenging. I\\\'ve have taught children overseas for the past 5 years. I have had a student with autism. Having an autistic child was challenging, but I have to admit putting a smile on that students face everyday took away all my tiredness by the end of the day.

During my ECE training I have had a wonderful time interacting with children, assisting the children in their learning/exploration of the world around them, and developing inquiry/play-based plans based on the child's interest. I have had minimal experience with Children with Exceptionalities as an EA was caring for the child.

I have worked with children of varying ages in different educational settings. I have worked in daycare centres, youth programs and schools. I have enjoyed all of these experiences. I have worked through the Renfrew County Integrational Services to provide support work for children with special needs.

As a co-op placement in highschool I worked in a first grade classroom preparing work material for the children as well as reading stories and engaging in play sessions. This experience led me to want to pursue a career involving children. I am currently enrolled in Child Studies at Carleton University with hopes to become an elementary school teacher.
