My name is Cassandra. I am twenty-three years old. I come from a Jamaican background, but was born and raised in Canada. My interests, are school, friends, family and outdoors. I have over eight years of childcare experience with children from newborns to age fourteen. Thank you, Cassandra.

I have always had a passion to work with children as their simple approach to everyday life inspires me. I have had the privilege to have had experience with children of all ages over the years, however, I am currently enrolled in the ECE program at a local College in Nanaimo, BC to continue my education in child care.

I am a BC certified teacher. I am currently working part time in a French Immersion Childcare Preschool. I have raised 2 children. I have a 5 year old and a 1 year old grandchild. I volunteered in my children's elementary schools for 7 years. I have taken some workshops in ASD. I have a friend with a special needs child.

For 2 years I taught swimming lessons to children of a variety of ages. In addition, I coached a volleyball team and I worked as a cabin leader at a summer camp. In addition, I babysat children for 8 years and I tutored children. I have taught swimming lessons to children with a variety of special needs.

I have 4 grown children as well as 2 grandsons. During my time at university, my placements were in grades 7, 3,and 8

My mother was a gradeschool teacher. I grew up helping her in the classroom. I also babysat as a teenager as well as ran a children\'s portrait studio for 4 years in my early twenties.
