We at KidzPen are looking for an experienced early childhood educator who is passionate about helping young minds reach their full potential. Located in lovely Chestermere, Alberta, KidzPen is a Montessori-focused and Emergent curriculum daycare. We are looking for someone capable of working as an experienced supervisor. The successful candidate must have an Alberta Early childhood Certificate Levels 3 and be able to provide a safe, creative, and nurturing environment for children aged 1 - 5 and 6-12 respectively. KidzPen is offering an hourly rate of $17.00 - $20/hr and invites anyone interested in this opportunity to message us. Responsibilities Set up the environment to meet the child developmental needs Create activities to spark the child creative imagination Lead activities in the classroom that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children Communicate effectively and respectfully with parents and staff and stakeholders Ability to interact one-on-one with children and in small groups Maintain staff and child records Ensure a clean and safe environment Must be able to manage conflict Key Skills and Attributes: Knowledgeable about licensing regulations, accreditation, and best practices for children Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision making skills Ability to build positive relationships with families, co-workers and management Demonstrated team work abilities and flexibility Excellent organization skills and time management Willing to learn, open to feedback Be willing to spend time in major events and scheduled meetings Qualifications: Child Care worker Levels 2& 3 1 year experience in a leadership role in an early childhood learning and child care setting Current Child Care First Aid with CPR Current Police Clearance and Vulnerable Sector search Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
