Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

Hi there! I graduated from Ryerson University's Early Childhood Studies program, and I'm now an official RECE! I have much experience from babysitting/nannying for various families across Toronto, sports programs, summer camp (for the City of Toronto and in Southampton, New York), teaching English abroad (Brazil and Singapore), tutoring, and much more! I prefer a play-based, child-centered environment because it I find it important that the children enjoy the opportunities presented to them at this age, as most of the learning is done naturally. By shaping the curriculum based on the children, they are given the opportunity to learn new concepts that are of interest to them, without being aware of it. By participating in various forms of play, and using the various play-centres and materials that are available, children are giving their developmental areas the opportunity to grow.
