Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

I have worked as an English Teacher overseas to teach 5 - 12 year old students in a classroom and camp setting. As a Teacher Candidate, I have experience teaching students in grade 3 and 5 in a classroom setting in various subjects such as math, science, language, social studies, art, and music. I always enjoy working with children and serving as a positive role model for them. I continue to interact with children of various ages through volunteer work such as at camps where I engage young children in hands-on, recreational activities. I have had a few autistic students in my classrooms when I was teaching English abroad. I was able to interact with them on one-on-one basis, giving them additional support with lesson materials when needed. I also had a chance to observe a Mild Intellectual Disabilities (MID) class room as a Teacher Candidate. I was able help with giving instructions to students using assistive technology and leading small group lessons with the students.
