Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

My name is Jungim Choi (Ima). I am a qualified Montessori directress and have been awarded a qualification in Childcare and Montessori at Portobello institute in Dublin as well as a MACTE accredited Montessori Diploma at Canadian Montessori Teacher Education Institute in Toronto. Since I moved to Toronto last February 2017, I have been working as a Casa Montessori teacher for a year and I have also worked as a Montessori directress and a childcare worker in Ireland for four years. I also have over 5 years experience teaching children between the ages of 4 – 15 in Korea. Childcare is such an important job and I believe Montessori pedagogy is one of the best child-centered settings where children can learn and grow in a safe and caring environment. Parents need to feel confident that Montessori directresses will provide close supervision while giving them the best education possible. I believe that the best way to teach and to help children grow is through a well organised lesson plan and prepared environment which will keep them interested and focused on learning through fun and participation. I am a very open minded person with high energy and enthusiasm and can connect with children and adults from many different and diverse backgrounds. Working with children is all I have ever wanted to do and have found the last 10 years the most rewarding years of my life. I believe that having worked in Korea, Ireland, and Canada and with children of such varied cultures and ages I can bring something special and unique. I feel I have the necessary qualifications and enthusiasm for child care and Montessori and would welcome the opportunity for interview.
