Early Childhood Educator in Ottawa, Ontario

When I was 10 years old my mom started a home daycare. I would help her in the mornings, after school and all day in the summers until I was 20 years old and moved out. I still visit and help with the kids when needed. When I was 12 years old my step mother gave birth to my sister who has down syndrome. She is now 13 years old. I have learned a lot just from being a part of a family that has a child with down syndrome.
