Early Childhood Educator in Ottawa, Ontario

I have two kids of my own one aged 9 yrs and the other is 36 months.I had been a teacher and have worked with children of ages between 5 and 6 at the kindergarten level.. Prepared English, Math and Science assignments reviewed and corrected all homework with an emphasis on providing feedback to each student. •Devised lessons, which captured the children’s imaginations for e.g.: Preparing scenes to be enacted by children themselves from famous rhymes, children’s stories by well-known authors. •Tutored three children after school , who were having difficulties in making their grades. •Planned and implemented recreational activities and arts and crafts workshops for age groups ranging from toddlers to high school students. •Taught general knowledge and moral science subjects to grade seven and eight. • Other responsibilities included teaching commerce subjects to senior secondary students.•Organized and prepared children in cultural items for the Annual function in the school. I had a child in my school where i was teaching who had vision problems,but was a bright student in other ways, so I was helping him out in academics by giving him extra time and attention to make him able to complete his assignments on time.I also came across a student who was emotionally upset and his grades suffered as his parents were going through a divorce,I helped him talk about his fears and supported him to be brave and overcome this difficult phase of his life by being positive.
