Early Childhood Educator in Etobicoke, Ontario

I have been working with children for 8 years. I worked in the after school program at the YMCA, along with the Play Centre and the L.E.A.P (Learning Earning and Parenting) program. I then had placement within a JK/Sk class and 2 special needs classrooms. After graduating from the Child and Youth Worker program I worked as an Educational Assistant with the Huron Superior Catholic District School Board. I have worked with children with special needs for the last 5 years. I provided respite care to families within Sault Ste. Marie, where I worked 1:1 with their child. I worked specifically with children who have autism and down syndrome. Through that I have been able to learn ABA therapy and some sign language. I am currently enrolled in the Behavioural Science program at Humber College and will graduate in September. \\r\\nI am currently working for a family who has a son with Oppositional Defiant Disorder and ADHD. I also work for a family who has a son with down syndrome and is non verbal.
