Early Childhood Educator in Kelowna, British Columbia

I am looking to relocate to Canada with my husband and 3 children. We would consider most Provinces. I have worked in the childcare field for 10 years plus. I am fully qualified with my level 2 & 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development and hold my SVQ 4 in Social Services, Children and Young People (SQA level 9). I am currently an experienced Early Educator Childcare Manager. I am professional with strong leadership and relationship-building skills. I am excellent at juggling multiple tasks and working under pressure. I like working on my own and within a team, and I feel a strong team can make an Early Learning Nursery flourish. I am a very reliable, resourceful, highly motivated, passionate and trust worthy individual. I hold a current clean PVG Certificate (Police Check Full UK Driving License ​ Up to date First Aid Certificate I currently supervise a staff team of 5 qualified Educators and 2 trainees. In this role I have developed a training manual for new staff to ease transition for new employees. Developed a new process for employee evaluation which resulted in marked performance improvements. Monitored staff - by doing staff appraisals and evaluating. Created new documentations from nappy charts right through to Policies and Procedures. Research current and new legislations and make sure Risk Assessments are current and up to date. I thrive in giving my staff new opportunities in training and encourage them to be the best they can and I also make sure the setting is running smoothly.
