Early Childhood Educator in Scarborough, Ontario

Over the past seven years I have gained the opportunity to work with children through a wide array of opportunities. I have worked with children while engaged in pre-service training with my ECE diploma and also in between semesters at summer employment opportunities which has offered me experience at summer camps, clubs and community settings. My experience with children ranges from infancy to young adults, with a wide range of abilities. Although I have worked with every age group I have the most experience working with children who are of school age and kindergarten. I have had the pleasure of working with children who have special needs in many different settings. With my work I have strengthened my skills in collaborating and communicating with families to meet both their childs needs and the families needs. Among the children that I have had the opportunity to work with they have had exceptionalities that include: Addisons Disease, Hearing, Vision and mobility impairments, Down Syndrome, different areas of Autism on the spectrum and extreme life threatening allergies. My work with children with special needs has been in both classroom and community settings. Finally,I have also had the responsibility of administering daily medication and assisting with the use of hearing and mobility devices.
