Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

RECE and Ontario Certified Teacher! I have a very strong interest in pursuing the position of ECE in the classroom with your company. With experience working at the elementary school level as well as outside of the traditional classroom, I have a diverse background with much to offer. My first classroom teaching experience was during my high school co-op placement where I worked in a kindergarten classroom. I have also worked in various summer camps, homework clubs and after school programs. Intensive course work and hands on experience in the Early Childhood Program at George Brown College has given me the skills and knowledge required of an Early Childhood Educator with incorporations of ELECT and the “How does learning happen document” to extend my skills and understanding in planning age appropriate activities that enhance children’s cognitive, physical, social and emotional development. I am confident my education, experience, and transferable skills such as my leadership qualities and organizational abilities, qualify me for this position. My current position as an ECE has not only allowed me to work with children from ages 4-12 but has allowed me to implement lesson plans based on the observations and interests of children as well as establish positive relations with colleagues and parents. Inclusion and diversity are my top priorities as it is important to cater to each and every child based on their differences, this is why differentiated learning should be practiced in all settings where individuals are involved. My experience as a teacher candidate has developed a passion and personal commitment to three things: fostering a positive learning environment with an emphasis on differentiated instruction for students with various learning backgrounds, maximizing student engaging and establishing relationships with colleagues, students and parents.
