Early Childhood Educator in Kitchener, Ontario

I am an RECE with over 10 years’ experience in childhood education and care. I have predominately taught preschool agechildren, and have been employed as a Junior Kindergarten teacher since 2007. I have routinely passed my Criminal Reference Check without incident, hold a Standard First Aid Certificate, and have a Food Safety and Handling Certificate from Waterloo Region. I have knowledge of the ELECT curriculum and the Ministry’s Early Learning Program; as well as thorough knowledge of the Day Nursery Act. I have routinely prepared age and development appropriate programming that foster self-regulation and self-discipline; and worked with children requiring an Individual Education Plan. Having emigrated from the UK with a Higher National Diploma in Childcare and Education, I completed modules at St Lawrence College in 2009 to obtain equivalency from the AECEO and registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
