Early Childhood Educator in Cold Lake, Alberta

Good day, I am writing to apply for the available job opening. I am looking for a permanent full - time position starting this summer: I will be moving to Toronto in June and can start working during that time. I successfully completed ELCC Certificate Program (Early Learning and Child Care) and become a certified Child Development Worker (Alberta Level 2 Certification) in June last year. I have experience working as a Head (Lead) Teacher at daycare / school in Canada and abroad. I also have good working knowledge of Montessori environment, terms, materials and practices. I have good working knowledge of Montessori practices: I enjoy creating a true learning environment and experience, comfort, safety for children in order for them to develop at their own pace. I can ensure their care and can offer a variety of learning opportunities. My former employers are my strongest references: I got stellar performance reviews. In the previous years I had also been self - employed and provided translation and linguistic services to international translation companies abroad. Moreover, I have more than 6 years of child care experience. I had previously worked as a live-in caregiver in Alberta and Ontario for 2 years under the Live-In Caregiver Program. I have experience in personal elderly support care too (for almost 1 year) and can provide the necessary care in housekeeping and companionship, cooking, other duties. Plus, I completed an online course "Psychology: an Introduction" (Oxford University, UK) in November last year. I earned credits after successfully completing the course and can provide excellent reference from my University tutor. In addition, I have a Bachelor's and Specialist Education Graduate Degree in teaching English and French as a foreign language, child's education and translation (minor). I have a competent understanding of written and oral English, as well as have basic knowledge of French, Polish. I am a native speaker of Russian and Ukrainian. While working as a childcare provider I strived to achieve excellence in providing care for children of all ages and develop my interpersonal skills necessary to provide exceptional customer service and support, care to a potential employer. I believe my background, strong (inter)personal skills and career interests are important for me to achieve success in the current job. I also feel it is important to possess professional skills and interpersonal style to consistently take on new assignments with enthusiasm and dedication.
