Early Childhood Educator in Etobicoke, Ontario

My undergrad degree is in Early Childhood Services and I have worked as an Early Childhood Educator for more than 3 years. In these roles, I have worked with children from as young as six months old to twelve years of age. For the past two years I have worked at Perry House Childcare Centre collaborating with staff members to provide the children with emergent activities which are developmentally and age appropriate. I have had children with exceptions in my class. Through my experiences, I have found that getting to know the child and their family; I can develop strategies to help that child learn. I like finding out from the parents strategies that have worked for them and then I can incorporate those ideas. Finding interests of the child will make developing their skill and knowledge more enjoyable for everyone involved especially the child.
