I have extensive experience with school-aged children from my seven years of teaching experience in India. My experience in Canada has come in the form of placements as required by the ECE degree curriculum. I have experience with preschoolers and kindergarteners in the early learning setting. \r\nI did an assortment of age-appropriate activities with the children, including circle time, show and tell, action songs, arts and craft activities, story time, and games. I sang transition songs to redirect them to another activity. I have experience with an autistic child and a child with ADHD from my placement. I learned about children with different kinds of special needs and the strategies to support them in the classroom. Creating friendly, caring relationships with them and maintaining an inclusive learning environment are important ways to facilitate learning for children with special needs.
