I am interested in the position of Special Educator. My past experience of teaching children with special needs in the United States and India, and my graduate specialization, relates directly to the position. Interest. Since my early career days in India, I have been intrigued about the way children with special needs were managed. In pursuance of my interests, as a spouse of an Indian Army officer, I was continuously involved in educating the soldiers’ children who had special needs. While staying in the US, I learnt about the education programs available for teaching special children. At the earliest opportunity, I enrolled for M...... (Special Education) at Saint Michael’s College Vermont. As a special educator in the US, I became adept in the latest techniques of managing behavioral, educational, and social needs of students. From my experience, I devised my strategy for teaching, which is to maximize performance, to inspire interest and to instill a sense of self-worth in the students. Cultural Fit. During my five-year stay in the USA, including a three-year stay in New York City, I have been able to understand and adapt to the North American culture totally. Being particularly eager to understand the people during this period, I travelled extensively to almost every corner of the USA (23 major cities), and to Canada and Mexico. In addition, as a graduate student at Vermont (USA), I interacted very closely with people from diverse backgrounds and different cultures. Diverse Experience. Having been brought up in a military family and then being married to a military person, I had to re-locate very frequently. I learned to understand and adapt to new culture every time within a short span of time. As a spouse of United Nations employee, I interacted very closely with people from every part of the world. As a Leader Intern at Sodexo, USA I dealt with approximately 200 customers with different needs and different behavioral attitudes everyday.
