Early Childhood Educator Job in Toronto, Ontario

We are looking for an experienced RECE in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators who has current Standard 1st Aid & CPR-C certification, ready to take on a lead teaching role in a classroom. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in the field and will:
-lead their room to continued success, defined by the success of its students and peers
-understand and comply with provincial (CCEYA), municipal & Kidz Kare`s policies and procedures
-ensure all programs provide the highest quality of care, curriculum and service to all participants and their families
-continually asses their daily routine and program plan to ensure that it is meeting the need of the children in their care
-provide engaging, interactive learning oportunities for each child allowing them to both attain success and be challenged
-plan and implement High Scope curriculum in accordance with Kidz Kare's high standards
-select developmentally appropriate resources for the group for both indoor and outdoor activities
-attend required curriculum training and all other relevant professional development opportunities as deemed necessary by the Supervisor and/or the company's affiliates
-complete required documentation of children's development and interactions
-seek opportunities to deepen connections and increase engagement of parents and children in care, providing further opportunities to them to get more involved
-demonstrate appropriate behaviours in line with Kidz Kare's core values
-adhere to work schedule to ensure program stays within ratio and provides required adequate notice to Supervisor regarding unexpected scheduling changes
-participate in special events within the centre, community and/or within company from time to time
-ensure overall health and safety of children enrolled in the program is the first priority
-maintain a clean and healthy environment
-review all food items to ensure food allergies/restrictions are consistently being upheld
-give feedback to parents and families in regards to child's overall well-being
-other classroom duties as required
