Early Childhood Educator Job in Cambridge, Ontario

We are a brand new Child Care Centre and we are looking for a strong RECE to be a part of our team. We are looking for an exceptional, engaged, excited and dedicated educator who has a genuine passion for supporting children's success in learning. Among the above qualities, the successful candidate will have: •ECE diploma, currently registered with the college of ECEs •Valid Standard First Aid/CPR Level C Certificate •A clear Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check - no older than 6 months •An up-to-date immunization record as per new Ministry Requirements - including TB test •A strong understanding of the four foundations of How Does Learning Happen •Working experience with the Early Learning for Every Child Today (E.L.E.C.T) document •Knowledge of the Ministry of Education Early Years Act •Ability to plan and implement developmentally appropriate programs •Well-developed interpersonal skills including both written and oral •Excellent professional and best practice skills with colleagues, families and other professionals •Ability to work as part of a committed and dedicated team •Ability to manage time and workload •Excellent behaviour guidance skills that include positive reinforcement and redirection strategies •Strong understanding of child development •Willingness to be flexible, versatile, and/or tolerant in a changing work environment while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency •Experience writing informative and professional evaluations and reports on children •Have a minimum of one year experience French and Music skills are beneficial and highly valued If interested, you are invited to submit a resume and cover letter by March 28th 2018.
