YWCA Toronto is looking for a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team! The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare for children from infancy to pre-school age. Employment Type: Part Time, Sessional Work Hours: Up to 16 hours per week (flexible hours within the hours of 7:15am-6:00pm; Monday to Friday) Hourly rate :$23.20 per hour (L2) Location: 66 Bergamot Avenue, Toronto, ON, M9W 1V9 Application Deadline: Tuesday, June 27, 2023 The Key Job Responsibilities: • Follows age-appropriate daily routines for the children in accordance with the philosophy and Program Statement of the Early Learning Centre; • Works as part of a team with program staff and volunteers to provide an integrated program that enhances the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of children; • Supports the implementation of a program geared to the needs of the children with concerns for their interests, special needs, strengths and pace of learning; • Works with the children in a group while maintaining sensitivity to each child’s individual needs; • Ensures that the Health and Safety Guidelines are followed in accordance with the policies and procedures of the funders, Bergamot and the YWCA; • Ensures appropriate notification of child abuse as required by the Child and Family Services Act in accordance with YWCA Toronto policies and procedures; • Records and submits weekly statistical records, as required.
