St NW Edmonton AB Responsibilities and Duties Provide outstanding care for the children under your supervision, ensuring their needs are met (social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional) Maintain and demonstrate professional practices and ethics at all times Help the children in your care feel safe, comfortable, and nurtured Participate in programming (drawing on your observations, expertise, and knowledge) Document children's learning and incorporate this in programming Plan activities based on sound practice so that children are learning through having fun Provide great care as part of the team Engage with families to exchange the latest information on their child during pick up / drop off Listen to parent concerns and address them or engage the Director to assist Report to the Director issues relating to children, parents, staff, or the program Ensure the environment is safe, secure, and well maintained by ensuring proper use of the equipment and reporting any required maintenance Work within a team to provide great care to children and their families Organize, clean, and sanitize as required to maintain a healthy environment Further, develop and build your professional skills and abilities Participate in evaluating and improving center's programming Adhere to the policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook Qualifications Early Childhood Educator level 2 or 3 Certification from Alberta Criminal Record Check including a vulnerable sector search Minimum 2 years of experience working at a licensed accredited childcare facility.
