Early Childhood Educator in Ajax, Ontario

Before moving back to Ontario, I lived in rural Manitoba working with aboriginal youths who suffered trauma, abuse and addiction. I learned strong skills surrounding behavioral management and compassion towards such issues. From there on, I headed West and found myself in protective care working with young at risk girls and boys in a live-in establishment. After 2 years I decided I would put my skills and knowledge into main stream child care where I earned a position at a day care center and was quickly promoted to a Supervisor. From here I was given this opportunity to guide multiple staff in an emergent learning style organization and did this for four years, which has now brought me back home to Ontario where I am interested in full filling a position in a school setting where I can interact and develop on my skills and many diverse years of experience.
