The first practicum I completed was for the Peel District School Board at Bristol Road Middle School. In this placement I was responsible for advocating for youth, providing support and counselling to those in need and provided educational assistance. My second practicum was with Peel Children’s Centre in a Day Treatment classroom. During this time I participated in creating and implementing treatment plans for students, completing daily observation logs and implementing behavior modelling as needed as well as educational assistance. This past summer I worked for the City of Mississauga as a summer camp leader where I created lessons, games and activities for campers as well as implementing behavior plans for certain campers, ensuring the safety of all campers and utilizing problem solving skills to deescalate any problems that raised. I am passionate about the work I do and I find this work extremely fulfilling.
