Early Childhood Educator in Winnipeg, Manitoba

I enjoy working with people of all ages from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, my experience is with children and their families and caregivers. I am physically fit and like to be active which I feel is an asset when working with children of any age or abilities. My work has included working one on one with children of various physical and mental challenges and therefore have recently obtained a certificate in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training. Previous to this I obtained a certificate in Working Effectively with Aggressive States and continue to attend workshops in order to educate myself further in my field. I have excellent communication skills and can work as a team member or independently, I am always ready to listen and am open to new ideas. One of my most important assets are my love and understanding of children and my ability to not judge children or their families. The work I have done with young mothers has been one of the most rewarding experiences, having been a single mother I understand the pressures that come with the reality of that. I have led a Mom and toddler/preschool program as well as working with children while parents are attending school, I am most interested in this type of position within your program.
