My experience in the child care field combined with my knowledge of the new CCEYA legislative requirements to satisfy licensing targets and my ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external customers would make me a valuable asset to your team. In my current role as a DECE at Children’s House Child Care, I have developed the skills that meet the qualifications you are seeking. I have been with the company for 3 1⁄2 years and I am eager to continue to learn from my mentors. I am enrolled in school part time at Seneca, Newnham. I recently completed the requirements of first, second and third semester, leaving me with a 4.0 GPA. I have proceeded and completed almost all of my ECE courses since November 2014, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I am enrolled currently for two classes for the spring. These include: Socialization and Curriculum. Come May, I will be enrolling in my last two courses consisting of School Age Learning School Age Placement, and Infant and Toddler Infant and Toddler Placement. This will (based on availability) bring me to complete my ECE courses. I have a thorough understanding of the legislative requirements of the CCEYA to meet licensing requirements. Organizational skills combined with my ability to analyze situations and respond effectively through verbal and/or written communication are requirements that I am able to manage effectively to ensure deadlines are met. Verbal and written communications are clear, concise and professional in dealings with government agencies, upper management, clients and employees. I am familiar with a variety of computer software programs that are used on a daily basis including Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point and Outlook for email. I have the ability to learn new programs quickly and assimilate the knowledge already acquired to facilitate this process in a timely manner. I also possess a valid G driver’s license which enables travel throughout the region as needed to meet the requirements of the position. One day, I aspire to become a supervisor and inspire other young minds in this ever evolving field in generations to come. Mentoring others as I continue my journey in this ever evolving field would allow me to give back to the community.
