Early Childhood Educator in Owen Sound, Ontario

I am a registered ECE with 15 years experience. I have worked in different childcare settings including centers and schools. I have worked with all age groups from infant to school age. I have experience working with children having disabilities, including ADHD and Autism. I have also been a one on one teacher for a visually impaired child. I have been a lead teacher of an infant room and a preschool room. As well as worked in toddler and school age rooms. Working with so many age groups has helped me to grow in my knowledge of their physical, mental and emotional development. Being a teacher in school age programs, has taught me how children grow and learn in a school setting, versus a center setting. As a mother of a child with physical delays in gross and fine motor, i have taught myself how to take on the challenge. The steps it takes for their continued progress. The tools that i have learned over my years of working in the childcare field, i was able to apply and implement in my own son's situation. It has made it that much more comfortable and easy when working with his physio and occupational therapists. I find working in childcare has been very rewarding and enjoyable. The career that i was always meant to do!
