Early Childhood Educator in North York, Ontario

I have been in the childcare field since 2003 and over that time, I have acquired many skills that have led me to this point in my career. I have been a front line staff, a Manager and an Owner/Operator. And I worked with many disadvantages kids for many years. As childcare professionals, it is our role of to meet the needs of the children and families we work with; through the establishment of open communication, mutual respect and building trust with each child and family in our care through positive interactions and ongoing support. Management Philosophy I believe in putting staff in situations to succeed through modeling professional standards, ongoing communication, promoting continued professional development, and using teachable moments to increase program quality and staff job performance. QUALIFICATIONS ▪ 4 years experience in developing and creating inclusive and age appropriate curriculum and activities. Extensive experience in working with disadvantaged children and creating projects and seminars for children and parents. ▪ 5 years experience as a instructor at the university of Dilce in the Early Childhood program. ▪ Proficiency in three languages; English, Kurdish and Turkish ▪ Ability to teach and train students from different cultural backgrounds. Proven skills in establishing learning environments which meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of children. ▪ Provide teaching and training to students with different cultural backgrounds ▪ Ability to prepare specialized assignments and exercises for students in the Kurdish language ▪ Ability to prepare lesson plans and audio-visual aids as per the curriculum prescribed for the students ▪ Experience in working with refugee children from Middle East countries in Turkey.
