Early Childhood Educator in Etobicoke, Ontario

Beaumonde Heights Junior Middle Sschool:\r\nTo gain experience within my interested area, I volunteer with a junior and senior kindergarten class of 26 students in a public school. I assist the students to identify daily decisions and manage information. I also help the students to foster listening skills, follow routines, develop fine motor and self-regulation skills. I also work on specific activities with the students such as hands on arts and crafts and identification with surveys. I was also able to gain musical experience within the classroom by introducing the ukulele and have sing-a-long\'s with the entire class. Additionally, I helped prepare materials for learning and assist the early childhood education worker and the teacher. \r\n\r\nI am also a piano instructor for private lessons for children ages 3-12, I advise children to develop the basics of piano performance and theory. I am constantly searching for innovative and engaging strategies that will help children develop their understanding of musical concepts.\r\nI learned to adapt to different student\'s diverse learning skills and their strengths and weaknesses. I accomplished as a self-starter with high energy enabling maximum and efficient work under pressure. I learned to communicate with the parent and guardians expectations and create a reasonable academic goal based on the child\'s learning style and abilities. I ensured all students were given a choice with musical pieces that provided basic concepts of performance.
