Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

At present, I am working full time for Moores Clothing for Men as their Formalwear manager. I am a goal driven leader who consistently coaches and motivates my teammates to achieve their personal performance goals. I am responsible for growing and managing a half-a-million dollar rental department. Meeting customer's needs and providing excellent customer service. I am currently a student at York University studying Children and Youth Studies, expanding my education. I have already completed a degree in Special Care Counselling where I specialized in Youth in difficulty and behavioural problems. During my schooling I interned at St Raphael elementary and Perspective High School. These are alternative schools, where the students have behavioural problems and lack to social skills to perform in typical school systems. My job was to help provide emotional and psychological support for these students, while helping them develop the social tools they will need to succeed socially. Similarly, I worked for Dynamix, commuting from school to school, animating activities for children teaching them Team work, cooperation and respect. Two nights a week I coached a children's soccer team. I volunteered at Centre Bonsejour, a court ordered, narcotics anonymous, rehab facility. My role was to support the clients through the struggles of withdrawal, offering emotional support and giving them access to the appropriate resources. I spent two summers working at Almage Community Centre for older adults, organizing events and running programs. My aim was to improve their quality of life. I believe I am suitable for this role as I have a great deal of experience working with people. I am friendly and empathetic; I prioritize the needs of the clients and have their best interests at heart. I believe I would be a great candidate as I have a great thirst for knowledge and new experiences, with a passion for helping others.
