Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

motivates me to adopt ECE as my long term career path. I have graduated with a diploma in ECE accelerated program at Seneca College with GPA of 4.0 (on president’s honor list) on April 2018. This program has offered me wide array of skills and techniques required to be equipped in Ontario based early childhood settings. I have accumulated five years of experience in working with children in daycare, preschool and regular school settings. I have gained several skills such as cultivating welcoming educational environment, facilitating children ages 7 and under to thrive in novel settings as well as designing and incorporating diverse learning materials. My employment as well as educational experience facilitated my understanding in preparing quality materials for classroom activities, enforcing safety policies, tracking emotional and social growth in young children. Initially, I was working as a supply staff in the school age and the Pre- school room, but eventually I was given a permanent position. My role was of a collaborative partner in a toddler room. Some of my duties were to help the ECE in making lesson plans every day, adapt daily experiences and activities to support the individualized intervention, plan days for children with special needs, and consistently attend professional development workshops to stay updated with credentials. In addition to this, I have also worked as an after school drama teacher for kindergarten and Grade 1 children for a company called “Art Express”. I have also worked as a soccer coach at Little Kickers for children 2 to 10 years of age. I believe that with the blend of my education and work experience, I will be a great candidate for a role of an ECE. With an additional education background in Fine Arts from York University, I believe my creative awareness can assist with creating lesson plans for young children. In my opinion, younger children learn through free play. At this age, their mind is at the peak of creativeness. I will use my creative skills and the abilities I have gathered at Seneca to assist children in learning and developing their skills in all subject areas. I carry a mixture of patience, and humor with great communication skills. As an ECE, I want the children to thrive and dedicate myself to the highest level of early childhood education.
