Early Childhood Educator in Kamloops, British Columbia

I completed the Education Assistant Program and hold a diploma in Community Support Worker/Social Services. I have had the opportunity to complete Two month long practicums at elementary schools in the past year. On both practicums I Worked with several students with Autism and gained much more experience. I also had the opportunity to have had a month long practicum at an after school program when i was in the Community Support Worker program. I have 7 years experience working with children with exceptionalities. I also have training in Applied Behavioural Analysis, First Aid/CPR/AED, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, Provincial Outreach Program for Autism and related disorder, and FASD. I have a passion for working with children. I am caring, patient, flexible, creative and quick to think of a solution when under pressure. I have over 5 years of on going experience working with children with special needs. Over the years I have expanded my ways of communicating with children: PEC’s, IPAD, as well as some sign language.
