I am a passionate ECE (2 year diploma) with both IT and IC specializations and an undergrad in psychology. I love meeting children where they are at, being present, truly listening to and lifting up the voices of children. I believe that children are capable of anything when they feel supported and honoured for who they are. That is the care I provide. In a dream world, I would love to find a preschool environment which honors the BC Early Learning Framework, offers paid off-floor time for curriculum planning, operates with enhanced ratio, is part of the $10/day childcare initiative, values open-ended materials and emergent curriculum, works with a pedagogist, has an indoor space that is purpose-built or at least practical in terms of supervision and sensory stimulation, and access to ample natural outdoor space.
