Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

ECE since 1985 first working in daycare for 15 years mostly infant and toddler rooms in various daycare centres. I left daycare to run my own business called Nightie Night Nanny. All night care for newborn twins and triplets keeping a journal for parents recording feedings time amount, diaper changes, sleeping times plus bottle preparation/ nursing equipment, formula/breast milk, laundry, stock change table area from 10 pm to 6 am Monday to Thursday. After 5 years of nights I became a daytime nanny for triplets I was caring for a night for 1 year. I enjoyed being a nanny so I looked for another position. While looking I got my WeeHands Diploma, Instructor of Baby and Mommy Baby Sign Language Classes. Taught a few classes a Bumble Bee Play Centre but not enough classes to make it a full time career. New nanny position obtained with infant twin girls one baby diagnosed with down syndrome. I enjoyed working with the Therapists - Physio, Occupational and Speech/Language. Especially enjoyed learning the Medek method of physiotherapy and using my skills I learned at the Hospital for Sick Children when an occupational therapist trained me regarding infant stimulation and development. I went back to school to become a physiotherapist assistant to help these children even more. I currently have been privately assisting parents through my Baby Can Therapy Support Consulting Business. Therapists come with homework. I help get the homework done
