Early Childhood Educator in Vancouver, British Columbia

Hello there! I'm Adiba, an experienced Educator serving in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia. I was hired last at Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House as a special educator to support a young boy with low muscle tone, who lives with ASD. As he was non-verbal, I was his liaison so that other kids in the program could engage with him meaningfully, while understanding his challenges. Past Experience: At Frog Hollow, I gained profound insight into the significance of the environments where children grow and learn. I shadowed some remarkable ECE professionals and delved into the Reggio Emilia child-centred philosophy. I've served as a special tutor / Self Design 1-1 service provider, focusing on two home-schooled teenagers. In addition, I have supported another student starting university, specifically with her language and academic writing goals. I've also worked as a part of an Artist-in-Residence program where I was assigned by VSB to design and teach a visual arts program for 12-14 year olds at Southlands Elementary School.
